Born in the middle of a pandemic, Shappy Pretzel Co. started as a homesick craving. Actor Adam “Shappy” Shapiro, a proud Philly native, was locked down in Los Angeles and missing one thing more than anything… a real-deal Philly soft pretzel.

When he couldn’t find one, he made one.

What started in his home kitchen quickly turned into something bigger. First shared with neighbors, then with a much wider audience after a well-timed TV moment with wife Katie Lowes and Ryan Seacrest, where one bite helped launch Shappy Pretzel onto the national stage.

From driveway pop-ups to the Oscars, this was never a fluke. It was Philly tradition, done right.

Today, Shappy Pretzel Co. is a bridge between coasts… bringing an iconic East Coast staple to Los Angeles and beyond. We are feeding cravings, sparking nostalgia, and introducing a whole new audience to what a pretzel is supposed to be.
